16th ranked Paraguayan San Jose (2-4) was defeated at home by thirteenth ranked Argentinian Regatas (5-1) with the biggest margin this round 85-75 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Regatas. San Jose managed to win third quarter 22-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Regatas looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. had a double-double by scoring 12 points and 14 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and Italian-Argentinian Mateo Chiarini (190-1998) chipped in 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. The best for the losing side was Argentinian-Paraguayan forward Gabriel Peralta (203-1995) with 20 points and 8 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Regatas have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader. San Jose lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the fourth place with four games lost.

In the last game of round 6 Corinthians lost to Defensor on the opponent's court 66-75.



Defensor - Corinthians 75-66

Everything could happen in Montevideo at the game between two tied teams. Both fourteenth ranked Uruguayan Defensor and 15th ranked Brazilian Corinthians had identical 3-2 record. This time Defensor used a home court advantage and beat the opponent from Sao Paulo 75-66 on Sunday night. Corinthians trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 19-17 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 66-75 at the end of the game. Defensor dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Corinthians' 30. American point guard Elijah Weaver (197-1998, college: Chicago St.) scored 29 points and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and Venezuelan center Nestor Colmenares (200-1987, college: Campbellsville) chipped in 19 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Defensor players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American guard Elyjah Clark (191-1998, college: MSSU) with 15 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import guard Davaunta Thomas (196-1995, college: UAFS) scored 15 points. Defensor (4-2) moved-up to second place. Corinthians at the other side dropped to the third position with three games lost.
